“Stripped of everything,” the May 12 Free for All letter criticizing Darrin Bell’s April 28 “Candorville” comic strip as “mak[ing] fun of homeless people,” completely missed the point. Bell’s depiction of a homeless individual commenting about not responding optimally to the housing market was irony, not ridicule.
