After stalling late Sunday night,talks between Max Scherzer and the Mets picked up again Monday morning, according to The Post’s Joel Sherman, with the team’s offer in the three-year, $129 million range — an average value of $43 million. Scherzer’s decision is expected to come Monday.

My mother is one of eight children. That could make mealtime a scramble when she was growing up.
