Dan Wakefield, a versatile and adroit writer who chronicled the civil rights movement as a journalist, recounted his journey from atheism to Christianity as a memoirist, and explored questions of love, friendship, joy and despair as a novelist, notably in his best-selling book “Going All the Way,” died March 13 at a care center in Miami. He was 91.
His attorney, H. Kennard Bennett, said that Mr. Wakefield had been in declining health and had a stroke last year, shortly before he moved from Indianapolis, his hometown, to South Florida, where he was living with his goddaughter, Karina Corrales. Read More...

DoorDash will start dinging eateries by raising its commission rates — which will jump as high as 20% of an order — that McD’s restaurants have to pay. The higher rates will kick in when drivers have to wait more than four minutes after arriving to pick up an order, according to a Wall Street Journal report, which cites corporate documents.
