Football Top 20: Final rankings for the 2017 season

For the third time in four seasons, a Maryland public school finishes on top of The Post’s high school football rankings. In 2014, it was Douglass. In 2015, it was Damascus. And now, undefeated Wise is No. 1 at season’s end. In September, Washington Catholic Athletic Conference champion St. John’s, The Post’s No. 2 team, lost to California schools St. John Bosco, which lost a state semifinal to Mater Dei, and De La Salle, which faces Mater Dei for the state championship this weekend.
